Physicians’ Impact Fund grants $375,000 to community organizations

The Physicians’ Impact Fund (PIF) recently awarded $375,000 in grants to greater Charlotte market community organizations. The funds were divvied up and awarded to 13 different organizations, including the Movement Family Wellness Center, Charlotte Neuroscience Foundation, Charlotte Rescue Mission and Novant Health women’s services. The funds will be used to help the underserved and those in need. For example, $50,000 was donated to the Movement Family Wellness Center to hire one social worker and provide 280 patients with mobile dental services, 40 uninsured children with dental varnishes and 1,000 community members with bus passes.

The PIF was created by physicians and friends to improve the health of the greater Charlotte market community. Since its inception the PIF has raised over $3 million for area nonprofits focused on healthcare, including Care Ring, Project Life, Ronald McDonald House, MedAssist, HeartBright Foundation and local community clinics. The group is particularly interested in supporting opportunities that show promise for long-term gain and values programs that increase organizational quality, effectiveness and sustainability.

Local Physicians and Friends Donate $336,800 to Community Organizations

Physicians' Impact Fund (PIF) presents grants to eight local organizations

On Thursday, Jan. 21 at 6:30 p.m., the Physicians' Impact Fund will present grants totaling $336,800 to eight local non-profit organizations. The presentation will take place at the Belk House, located on the Novant Health Presbyterian Medical Center campus. Grant recipients include NC MedAssist, Charlotte Neuroscience Foundation, Safe Alliance, Anuvia Prevention and Recovery Center, The Relatives-NeighborCare, Ada Jenkins Center, Shelter Health Services, and the Lake Norman Community Health Clinic.

The Physicians' Impact Fund was created by physicians and friends in the greater Charlotte region to strengthen the health of the community through comprehensive health initiatives for the underserved. Since its inception in 2010, it has raised more than $1,100,000 for area nonprofits focused on health care.

Physicians' Impact Fund Presents Grants to Six Local Organizations

Local physicians donate $335,000 to community organizations

On Thursday, the Physicians' Impact Fund presented grants totaling $335,000 to seven local non-profit organizations. The presentation took place at the Belk House, located on the Novant Health Presbyterian Medical Center campus. Grant recipients included HeartBright Foundaton,Inc, Anuvia Prevention and Recovery Center, CARE RING/Physicians Reach Out, NC MedAssist, Lake Norman Community Health Clinic, Urban Ministry Center's HousingWorks, and The Relatives, Inc.-NeighborCare.

The Physicians' Impact Fund was created by physicians and friends in the greater Charlotte region to strengthen the health of the community through comprehensive health initiatives for the underserved. Since its inception in 2010, it has raised more than $1,000,000 for area nonprofits focused on healthcare. This year's donation is more than double year's past, thanks in part to a challenge grant issued by community leaders to match up to $300,000 per year for the next five years.
